How the GeoAlarm Panel Communicates?

Fast Alarm Signaling
Redundant and Reliable Transmissions!

The GeoAlarm GeoCP-AT/GeoCP-VZ Control Panel is designed to send alarm signals over the primary Wi-Fi network, and if down, over the backup cellular AT&T/Verizon network(s) to the GeoArm central monitoring station. With two communication paths built-into the control panel, such as Wi-Fi and Cellular, if the first path fails, the business security system can still reliably transmit the alarm signal over the secondary path. This ensures that the alarm signal is always received at the central monitoring station, even in the event of a network outage, deliberate tampering or other communication failure. Dual-path alarm communications can lead to quicker response times and potentially increase the chances of apprehension.

What is the Wi-Fi Network?

The Wi-Fi Communication Path is a type of wireless local business network that allows devices to connect to the internet or communicate with each other without the need for physical cables. It uses radio waves to transmit data between devices, and typically requires a router or access point to create the network. Wi-Fi is available throughout North America, but coverage may vary depending on location and local provider.

What is the Cellular 4G LTE Network?

The Cellular 4G LTE Communication Path is a standard for wireless communication of high-speed data for mobile phones and data terminals. It is the successor to 3G and provides significantly faster data transfer rates, lower latency, and improved overall network performance. The "4G" denotes the fourth generation of mobile network technology, while "LTE" refers to the specific type of 4G that offers the fastest speeds and most reliable connections. Cellular 4G LTE is available throughout North America, but coverage may vary depending on the specific location and service provider (AT&T or Verizon).
