The Honeywell VISTA20P-SWAP is a VISTA 20P security system kit designed for traditional landline phone/voip alarm communications to the GeoArm central monitoring station. The VISTA 20P is a high-capacity, feature-rich, 48-zones control panel that delivers more value to the DiYer. The VISTA 20P comes with 8 on-board hardwired zones (up to 15 with zone doubling), up to 40 hardwired zones with expansion (8 on-board zones + 32 expansion zones = 40 total hardwired zones), and up to 40 wireless expansion zones. Additionally, the VISTA 20P supports up to 16 wireless keyfobs, up to 48 user codes and up to 32 schedules. With the VISTA 20P panel you get remote programming capability, graphic keypad support and 2 partitions. The VISTA 20P's installation advantages, innovative end-user benefits and robust system capacity make the value-priced security system an ideal choice for higher-end DiY installations.

The VISTA 20P security system is backed by Honeywell's 2-year limited manufacturer's warranty and once upgraded with a Honeywell wireless alarm receiver is compatible with the full line of Honeywell 5800-Series wireless security products. Security System Installation Notes:
To complete your security system installation, plug in the VISTA 20P transformer into a standard wall outlet and connect the VISTA 20P to a phone jack with live service. You will need long distance service turned on for the phone line alarm communications to work with GeoArm's central station.

When designing your system, keep in mind that the Honeywell VISTA 20P security system supports up to forty-eight (48) total zones with expansion modules but only supports eight (8) hardwired zones without expansion. You should add the Honeywell 4219 hardwired 8-zone expansion modules if you want to add more than eight (8) hardwired zones to your VISTA 20P security system. This VISTA 20P security system kit comes equipped to send its alarm signals over a traditional phone line using the included TELCO 7' phone cord connector (620).

If you have never had a monitored security system installed at your property, you will need to run a phone connection from a live phone jack to the alarm control panel. You also need to make sure your phone service has long distance turned on. If you have VoIP service, you need to make sure that the VoIP service is live at the jack you are plugging the VISTA 20P alarm control panel into. With the rise in cell phone use, more and more people are looking to save money by eliminating their traditional phone service. The VISTA 20P security system allows you to eliminate your monthly phone bill and still get low-cost professional alarm monitoring. You can upgrade the system with an broadband internet communicator (7847i), cellular AT&T LTE communicator (LTEM-XA), cellular Verizon LTE communicator (LTEM-XV), dual-path Verizon IP/LTE communicator (LTE-IV) or dual-path high-security Verizon IP/LTE communicator (LTE-HSV) which would make the installation of the system easier as you wouldn't have to run a wire from your phone block to the VISTA 20P security system. The cellular alarm communicator sends your alarm signals over the cellular AT&T LTE or Verizon LTE network to the GeoArm central monitoring station. With an alternative communicator in place, you would no longer need traditional phone service at the property to monitor your security system. The alternative communicator would also allow you to upgrade to GeoArm's Total Connect interactive alarm monitoring services, which enables you to receive important alerts, keep a close eye on your home and control your security system remotely via the internet and/or mobile devices you use each and every day.
