DSC WS4945 Product Description:
The DSC WS4945 is a wireless 433Mhz door or window alarm contact provides perimeter protection for the DSC wireless security systems. The wireless alarm contact mounts on a door or window frame and the magnet mounts on the corresponding door or window. When the security system is armed and the door or window is opened, the normally closed circuit becomes open and an alarm is triggered.
The WS4945 is designed for dependable case or wall-tamper detection. The wireless door or window alarm contact is designed to send a alarm signals to the security system if either its casing is opened or if it is forcibly removed from the wall. If the security system is armed when this occurs, an alarm will be activated and GeoArm's central station will be notified of this violation.
The WS4945 also features an external screw terminal that allows a standard hardwired door contact to be connected to it. This is useful for installations where it is difficult to mount the magnet within the maximum allowable gap of the contact (5/8").
Significantly smaller than many door or window alarm contacts, the WS4945 is housed within a compact casing that allows it to be used for the tightest-fitting installations. Once installed, the wireless alarm contact is inconspicuous and complements the decor of most homes or businesses. It is built with reliable 433 MHz technology and is compatible with all current DSC wireless alarm receivers.

I ordered this wireless door sensor and it came unexpectedly quickly. Dislike many others who also sell the same sensor, this one was NC (Normally Closed) like it should be, but if you get it from Amazon (I did) or eBay (I didn't because I was asking questions) it would be NO (Normally Open). I wish I am making this up. I can't figure out who might want to arm the system with door open.

Security system products are hard to look for, so finding this was a great thing, GeoArm provided me with free support since my order was above their limit with a new order of sensors since mine went bad (which was easy to reach since I was buying a new system). These sensors worked really great on my DSC system and I really haven't had any issues over the last 5 years. The Price was great and so was the tech support as they are very knowledgeable of a large variety of panels.

These are impressive little units. My apartment actually has a system for windows and doors, but it is always malfunctioning so I cant set it at night. So this was my solution. So far, so good. They respond instantly, are definitely loud enough to get your attention and can be portable forntravel purposes. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a very effective alarm/chime at a low price!!

We were looking for a DSC sensor for a great price and with free tech support and we found Geoarm. They recommended the WS4945 - DSC Wireless Door and Window Alarm Contact, we ordered 15 of them and when we got them they were easy to install and program... Thanks guys..
