The DSC WS4933 is a wireless electrochemical indoor carbon monoxide detector which is effective for detecting any buildup of carbon monoxide, also known as CO gas, in your home or office. Colorless, tasteless, odorless but deadly, carbon monoxide is impossible to detect without a warning device. The WS4913 wireless carbon monoxide detector is the perfect complement to a compatible 433 MHz wireless alarm controls (such as PowerSeries and Impassa).
The WS4933 provides front-line protection against the silent threat of carbon monoxide poisoning. It has an electrochemical sensing technology that is highly sensitive, detecting even trace amounts of carbon monoxide. Once carbon monoxide is identified, the sensor is triggered, the alarm is activated and the wireless alarm panel is signaled. The detector sounds the 85dB alarm to warn residents to leave the home immediately and at the same time signals the compatible wireless security system to dial the GeoArm central alarm monitoring station to alert the proper authorities. Although the WS4933 works in tandem with the wireless alarm panel, it also works as a standalone detector that is not connected to an alarm panel and provides an alarm warning to residents inside the home.
Since CO gas moves freely in the air, the suggested location is in or as near as possible to sleeping areas of the home. The human body is most vulnerable to the effects of CO gas during sleeping hours. For maximum protection, a CO alarm should be located outside primary sleeping areas or on each level of your home.
