The Resolution Products RE656 is an Cryptix-encrypted, full status, wireless keypad for the Helix security panel. The RE656 HeliPAD is the first keypad to use a supervised Bluetooth Smart™ connection to provide two-way wireless communication with an alarm panel. A direct wireless link to the Helix panel allows for local control of the panel, regardless of network connectivity. It is also the first keypad to use e-ink technology (similar to what is used in the Amazon® Kindle) to provide real-time status updates. This low power, high contrast display ensures easy reading in high and low light conditions. The RE656 keypad itself uses capacitive touch delivering a sleek, and aestheically speaking clean finish. The RE656 is battery powered and requires no installation tools. The HeliPAD has an expected battery life of 1 year on two AAA Alkaline batteries.
With the RE656 you can easily fully arm the system to home or to away mode with just the touch of a button. No smart phone application is required to arm/disarm Helix. The RE656 is perfect for families with children too young for cell phones or for those with prefer the keypad experience. Additionally, the RE656 allows users to customize settings to fit to their desires, such as silent button operation or silent chime. The HeliPad clearly displays a variety of alarm signals from Smoke and CO to Burglary and Flood. Lastly, the HeliPad checks the Helix system for open zones and notifies the user when and where there's trouble.
