The IQ Siren also contains a rechargeable 3 hour backup battery. The QZ2300-840 plugs into any standard outlet and even acts as a repeater to improve the performance of your Z-Wave network. This Z-Wave siren was easy to install and provides us with a loud siren at the opposite end of our home. If activated, you must push the button on it to turn it off. We plugged it in upside down to make this easier.
