Honeywell Home L5100-ZWAVE Product Description:


The Honeywell L5100-ZWAVE communications module is intended to provide connection between Honeywell LYNX Touch control panels and Z-Wave® devices and allows the panel to conduct integrated Z-Wave control.

The L5100-ZWAVE allows control of up to 47 devices total, including up to 40 Lights/switches, 3 thermostats, and 4 door locks. This card retains the Z-Wave devices, the panel does not, so, you can move this card from one panel to another. Scene programming is stored in the panel. See the LYNX Touch Series Home Automation Guide for additional information on Z-Wave device programming and use. The L5100-ZWAVE currently supports Z-Wave Software version 4.54.01.

With the L5100-ZWAVE, network rediscovery is supported. The panel will attempt "rediscovery" of a device only after the panel has attempted to send a command to that device via its assigned network route, and communication with that device has not been successful (after retries) via that route. Upon this "loss of device", the panel will attempt to "rediscover" the device via alternative routes through the network. This "rediscovery" attempt, upon such loss of communication, is automatic. If the device cannot be so "rediscovered" in the network, it will be declared a "failed device."
