The GeoAlarm GeoCP Control Panel is designed to send alarm signals over the primary Wi-Fi network, and if down, over the backup cellular AT&T/Verizon network(s) through the GeoArm alarm servers to the end-user. With two communication paths built-into the GeoCP control panel, such as Wi-Fi and cellular, if the first path fails, the business security system can still reliably transmit the alarm signal over the secondary path. This ensures that the alarm signal is always received at the GeoArm alarm servers and then transmitted to the end-user, even in the event of a network outage, deliberate tampering or other communication failure. Dual-path alarm communications can lead to quicker DIY self-dispatch response times and potentially increase the chances of apprehension.
