The Alarm.com ADC-V510 is a wireless fixed security camera that captures color video at up to 640 x 480 resolution while providing for low-light sensitivity and adjustable video motion detection. Plug this wireless fixed security camera into a standard A/C wall outlet and, with an active wireless internet connection, you are ready to view live video from anywhere. You also can add a 9' power extension cable if there isn't a power outlet near where you want to mount the wireless fixed security camera. Unlike the wireless fixed security camera the wireless pan/tilt security camera's can remotely control the field-of-view from anywhere. If you wanted to change the fixed wireless security camera's view you would have to physically relocate the wireless security cameras location. The privacy button on the wireless fixed security camera allows you to turn off remote viewing and recording as an added security feature. If the privacy button is activated, you would only be able to view the wireless fixed security cameras if you were on site at the location being protected.

This wireless fixed security camera can be used as a standalone video surveillance system, or it can be integrated into a GE Simon XT Wireless Security System when you choose one of GeoArm's Alarm.com interactive and video alarm monitoring plans. Alarm.com interactive alarm monitoring with video surveillance allows you to look in live to your property anytime and anywhere as long as you have a web enabled PDA, cell phone, or computer. You also would have the ability to record video whenever an alarm occurs or the fixed security camera detects motion. Unlike an expensive traditional digital video recorder (DVR) surveillance system which stores its data on site, the ADC-V510 transmits its data to an offsite remote location ensuring the security of your recordings.

Unlike other video surveillance solutions, this wireless security camera does not need a digital video recorder (DVR). The only requirement is power and broadband internet service at the location, as well as a wireless router if you want true wireless flexibility. The recorded video gets stored securely offsite in the Alarm.com Operations Center so there is never a threat of video being destroyed onsite. With standalone video surveillance you would be able to remotely log in from a computer, PDA, or cell phone to view live video footage or recorded clips and receive notification of new recorded video.
