Please Note: The Alula RE609 wireless glassbreak detector has been discontinued without replacement.
The Alula RE609 is a Connect+ encrypted, wireless glassbreak detector. The RE609 protects indoor areas by transmitting an alarm signal when the sound of broken glass from a framed window is detected up to 25 feet away. The RE609 has a 360° omini-directional coverage range to protect windows within range.
To mount the RE609, begin by mounting the sensor at least 3.3 feet away from desired protected window. The RE609 needs to be in line of sight of the window being protected, making sure to avoid corners and doors that may block the sensor. Please note, the glassbreak is the 1st (outer) hardwired zone and any external contact connection would use the 2nd (inner) hardwired zone with common center terminal.
To enroll the RE609, place the panel into wireless enrollment mode and then press the enrollment button on the glassbreak sensor. Alternatively, the glassbreak sensor can be enrolled by scanning its bar code using the HeliLink app or by entering its 8-character serial number on the interactive GeoArm web portal.
