Qolsys IQKP-TAGS Product Description:
The Qolsys IQKP-TAGS is a pack of 4, mini proximity key tags that is designed for use with the Qolsys IQ Proximity Keypad. A proximity reader is built into the Qolsys IQKP-PRX-915 wireless battery-powered IQ keypad, which is used to read and interact with the IQKP-TAGS proximity key tags for access control. The IQKP-PRX-915 prox reader uses radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to communicate with the key tags when they are within a certain range, typically a few inches to a couple of feet. The proximity reader sends out a signal that powers the chip inside the key tag, allowing it to transmit its unique identification number back to the reader. This number is then verified by the Qolsys control panel to determine whether to grant or deny access to a secured area. Proximity readers are commonly used in office buildings, secure facilities, and other environments where controlled access is necessary. They offer a convenient and secure way to manage entry without the need for physical keys.
