DSC WT4901 Product Description:
The DSC WT4901 wireless indoor siren is a fully two-way supervised wireless siren designed to work with the compatible DSC 433 MHz control panels (e.g. Impassa SCW9057). With its sleek and modern design, the WT4901 will fit most decors without being obtrusive to the home environment. Since the alarm control panel is usually mounted in a secure (but sometimes remote) location within the home, audible indications, the onboard siren, regarding alarm triggers or smoke/fire detection may by quieter than what the WT4901 can provide. An indoor siren alert occupants of the potential danger before a person moves too far into the home. With its powerful sounder, the WT4901 will annunciate these issues from its remote location but will not indicate the location of the alarm control panel. The WT4901 also distinguishes between burglar and fire alarms by emitting different sounds for each and indicates entry/exit delays, trouble beeps and multiple different door chimes.
The WT4901 indoor siren offers 2-way wireless and continuously supervised communication with any compatible 433 MHz wireless alarm panel. If the WT4901 is tampered with, the compatible alarm control panel will immediately be signaled and the appropriate transmission will instantly be transmitted to the GeoArm central alarm monitoring station.
We recommend installing the wireless alarm panel in a remote location to keep it secure from intruders. By hiding the alarm panel you minimize the effectiveness of the onboard alarm siren. Therefore, we recommend installing at least one WT4901 wireless indoor siren so that you still have a loud audible warning of any alarm event that will sound throughout the home. The intruder will hear the siren and potentially attempt to disable it, thinking that the siren is the actual alarm panel. Meanwhile, the true alarm panel is still safely hidden and able to send out the alarm signal to the GeoArm central alarm monitoring station.
