2GIG-WD500Z-1 Product Description:
The 2GIG-WD500Z-1 is a wall mounted dimmer that allows for remote ON/OFF control and dimming of connected lights. The Z-Wave Wall Mount Dimmer is easily wired in place of a standard wall dimmer. This device requires a neutral connection and communicates with the 2GIG control panel.
The WD500Z-1 wall mounted dimmer integrates with other Nortek Security & Control Z-Wave enabled products, and can also act as a wireless repeater to ensure that commands intended for another device in the network are received (useful when a device would otherwise be out of radio range). The WD500Z-1 has a field replaceable trim ring - the color of the device can be altered with the Trim Ring Kit model in black, brown, almond and ivory. Unique to Nortek Security & Control, the Auto-Sense feature allows for local lamp activation independent of the Z-Wave controller status.

Note to Installers: When installing a Z-Wave 3-Way Light setup utilizing Nortek Security & Control products, you will need a Load Bearing switch (WS15Z-1, WD500Z-1 or WD1000Z-1) and a non-load bearing WT00Z-1. Multiple WT00Z-1 switches can be utilized to control multiple Load Bearing devices. Please refer to the linked Technical Bulletin on Z-Wave 3-Way Light Switch Setup for more information.
